Meet glimmer
Nicola Murphy
Nicola was born in Auckland and trained at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney.
She has appeared as a lead vocalist with various pop and jazz bands in New Zealand, Australia and Asia.
As well as musical theatre credits in New Zealand and Australia, Nicola has made guest appearances in a number of cabaret productions and was co-creator and principal cast member of the acclaimed cabaret series Flaw Play which played three seasons in Sydney.
Recently, Nicola has featured in the Fever Candlelight Concert Series, sung with NZ’s highest-streamed rock band Written By Wolves, regularly performed solo at Sky City and has travelled as part of the glamorous vocal trio, the Epiphanies.
Haylee Warby
From a young age, Haylee loved to sing, and often found herself at the front of the classroom or school assembly singing for her classmates! In her early 20s, a talented NZ singer/songwriter saw her perform and, moved by her emotive vocals, invited her to collaborate. This led to a demo produced by a renowned NZ producer, attracting interest from Warner Music NZ and resulting in the release of two singles.
She continued recording and performing at private events before taking a hiatus from the music scene to focus on raising her two boys. The urge to sing has never subsided, however, always compelling her to seek it out in some way. More recently that has taken the form of honing her craft under the guidance of highly acclaimed NZ vocalist, Becks Wright and completing study of the Estill voice model.
